Do both. Fly Saigon → Đà Nẵng (1 hour, cheap on VietJet Air or Vietnam Airlines), spend 2-3 days in Hội An, then fly back. The combination of Saigon's chaos and Hội An's calm is one of the best travel experiences in Southeast Asia. If you only have time for one: Saigon. More to see, more to eat, more to feel.
